Proper Care of Your Leis and Loose Blooms

  • It is critical care for the flowers to be properly cared for as soon as it has been delivered or customer has picked up from our store to avoid quality issues and ensure freshness.

  • Do not place your arrangement near fruit or in the path of cigarette smoke. The ethylene gas is detrimental to many flower types.

  • Avoid temperatures below 45° F and do not place in the freezer. Keep fresh flowers away from drafts and extreme temperatures, which can quickly dry out the flowers and cause wilting.

  • A good temperature range is between 45 ° F – 55 ° F.

  • Once you receive your shipment, quickly unpack the leis carefully. Put the Lei(s) in a plastic grocery bag or a Ziploc bag.

  • If you have ordered a large bulk shipment make sure you have a proper place to store them. Such as a walk in refrigerator or similar.

  • Another way to store the leis is with a cooler with ice in it. Place a hand towel or newspaper over the ice so the leis do not touch the ice.

  • Avoid placing flower arrangements in window sills and other areas with full sun where flowers can wilt due to overheating.

  • Please do not hesitate to contact us at info@buyhawaiianlei.com for any questions or concerns around the care of your flower.
